Cheating and Use of Mods (2022/08/11 updated)
Any kinds of mods are prohibited in TAwiki & Vwiki rules. (including mods for changing appearance of weapons/armors, mods for tools like carve timer skip)
Please refrain from using the word "TAwiki" or "なしなし" or "Vwiki" in the title of video using mods.
When you upload the video using mods, please use the word like followings.
Game Versions
Records by Switch and Steam will be accepted.
Switch runs and Steam runs will be a different category due to the problems caused by frame rate difference.
When you post a record of none latest version, please select the version of the record.
Quests
Hunt and Slay quests only.
In quests which has multiple fields (like Valstrax quest on MHRise), runs which have used specific endemic lives will be rejected.
(Please refer to exception quests of
endemic lives and
field gimmicks.)
Number of Participants
Solo hunter only, from the quest starts to the end. (no palico/palamute/follower)
(Palico/palamute waiting in camp will be rejected.)
Items
The use of following items are prohibited.
- Flash Bomb
- Sonic Bomb
- Meat Bait, Meat Traps (Raw/Poisoned/Drugged/Tinged, etc.)
- Poison Smoke Bomb
- Traps (Shock/Pitfall)
- Kunais (Poison/Explosive/Sleep/Paralysis, etc.) Regular Kunais are allowed
- Poisonfruit, Parafruit, Flashfruit (obtaining is allowed but using is prohibited)
- Barrel Bombs (Barrel Bomb, Large Barrel Bomb, Mega Barrel Bomb, Elemental Barrel Bombs, etc.)
- Supply Item
Skills
The following skills are prohibited regardless of if they came into effect or not.
- Heroics (Lv2-5)
- Dango Adrenaline
The following skills are allowed if they do not come into effect.
Equipment (2022/10/01 updated)
- Charm: Use of charms are allowed.
- Qurious Crafting: Qurious Crafting for weapons are allowed. Use of armors which has additional skills by Qurious Crafting are prohibited.
- Layered Equipment; Both for Weapons and Armors are acceptable. Please show your layered equipment list after slaying the target(s)
Endemic Life
The use of creatures below are permitted. (Wirebug + Creature that activates on contact or hit ※There are exceptions.)

- Beetles(Firebeetle, Mudbeetle, Snowbeetle Thunderbeetle, etc.)
- Trapbugs
- Lanternbug
- Antidobra
- Aurorturtle
- Escuregot
- Stinkmink
- Gustcrab
- Brewhare
- Wailnard
- Starburst Bugs (Damage with lauching by wybern riding)
The use of creatures below are conditionally permitted.
- Flashfly (Only if it did not affect target monsters)
- Slicercrab, Spearsquid
※Not allowed on the single-target-quests with several field options. Allowed on other quest.
Not allowed on following quests (2022/07/18).
- Unreasonable Rage (Furious Rajang)
- Mysterious Glow (Mysterious Glow)
Artilleries and other field gimmicks
Use of followings are allowed.
- Turf war
- Damage and status effect caused by a small or a large monster to an another monster
- Damage and knockdown by hellfire
Use of the followings are prohibited.
- Damage from lava/waterfall when riding and launching monsters
- Artilleries (Ballista/Cannon/Machine Canon/Dragonator/Wyvernshot)
- Repetitive use of aerial attacks using ledges (e.g. aerial GS)
- Repetitive use of ledges to cancel out recoil
- Pitfall in the desert
- Monsters getting their head stuck in a wall when charging into a wall
Use of the followings are prohibited in general, but allowed in some quests. (updated 2022/08/16)
- Extended down time by Stump Sap (Citadel Area13)
- Poison Cypress (Citadel Area10)
Allowed on quests which is not easy to avoid these gimmicks due to a high spawn rate to this area or a high rate of moving to this area.
The citadel quests which can use Poison Cypress has a ※ mark next to the quest name.
The citadel quests which can use Stump Sap has a △ mark next to the quest name.
- Falling Boulder (Jungle Area1)
We will accept the record when falling boulder caused no damage.
Wyvern Riding
Players can choose "Press A (Weapon Sheeted)" or "Attack or Press A (Weapon Sheeted)" in sunbreak.
Either option is allowed, as considering area movement and low dps of some weapons.
Wybern Riding must follow the rules below.
- Changing setting for wybern riding from options afters the quest start is prohibitied
- Use of light/strong attack and evasion counter are prohibitied
- Launches and evade canceling are allowed any number of times
- Riding a non-target monster is allowed if a target monster is in vicinity
(Riding all the way to the target from different areas is prohibited)
- Riding a target monster to a different area is allowed
- Riding a non-target monster to a different area is prohibited
- Launching into walls/other monsters is allowed
Camp
- Changing/restocking items or changing equiments are prohibited
- Use of fast travel and buddy recon is allowed
- Obtaining and using supply items are prohibited
Gathering items
You are free to gather items available in the field.
Record Collections
There are 3 categories.
- TAwiki: A list of formal ranking. Top 5 runners will be accepted.
- Reference: A list of videos wich have uncertainties like use of mods.
- Variable TAwiki: A category to add special rules based on TAwiki rules and to hold an event with in the specified period. The category is used for the purpose like testing new rules. Please see below for details.
Video
Please upload the video of your runs to
Youtube.
The video must fulfill the followings:
- Language set to Japanese or English or Chinese
- Show all HUD all the time (including HP/Stamina vars)
- Show damage
- Video from the beginning of the quest to the end where the clear time is shown
※Video must start from main camp.
※Cutting wating time after you showed cleartime and equipments are allowed
- Fast fowarding and cuts are prohibited, from the quest start to the slay/hunt complete
Drop frames or instantaneous cut due to the record accident will be decided on case-by-case
- No overlays on top of the video that blocks large part of the screen
- Show the following info pages after slaying the target(s). (2022/10/01 updated)
- All status pages (From basic status to Dango skills)
- Equipment List and Qurious Augmentation info (Updated Aug-19-2022)
If you equip the Qurious Crafting armor (includes which has been canceled one), please show Augmentation Status pages without any additional skills are added by qurious crafting
- Layered Equipment List (Updated Oct-01-2022)
*** These informations must be shown in quest. Cut/Paste the another recordings and overlays are not acceptable.
- We may ask submission of screeshots of the screen when you obtained the charms.
We would appreciate it if you add the links of the screenshots to the video descriptions, especially when you submit a record to "TAwiki" category with the charms close to a theoretical value like below.
For Switch runners, please post the screenshots from Switch to Twitter directly.
※Theoretical Value Chamrs
The charms which has max level of mandantory skills for the weapon or build, and also has a useful second skill and lv2 slot or more.
- Example of Theoretical Value Charms: Attack Boost3/Critical Eye2/Slot3-1-1, Quick Sheath3/Consitituion2/Slot2-2, Rapid Fire Up2/Spare Shot1/Slot3-1
- Example of Normal Chamrs: Attack Boost3/Slot2-1, Quick Sheath3/Slot2-2, Spare Shot2/Slot3-1
Cheating and Use of Mods
When the following things have confirmed on videos of MHRS:Demo or MHRS:Productions,
the runner's rest of all records will be treated as Reference records, regardless of platforms.

Any report will be processed anonymously.
Verification of Records
When we recieve a issue report, we will temporarily hide and verify the record.
All members of verification group will share the information and make a final decision by consensus.
If it seems difficult to make a decision by the group alone, we will make decisions based on advice and opinions from outside collaborators.
Then we will make final decisions by consensus with all members of verification group.
Variable TAwiki rules
This is an event category held regularly to test new rules for TAwiki rules. Upcoming updates may require changes of TAwiki rules, and this category test the new rules.
In addition to "TAwiki", additional rules and the duration of events will be posted on Twitter
@TAwiki_ad6030.
Please check the pinned tweet when you perticipate in.
- Rules and Quests accepted in this rules will be published on the event start.
- We will not accept submissions outside of event period.
- On the event start of new Vwiki, old Vwiki records will be changed to reference category, and will be written "Vwiki" to the record notes.

Anomaly Investigation (2023/06/08 updated)
This is a category to be subject to Anomaly Investigation quest in TAwiki. Please check the regulation below when you submit your runs to this site. In case of forward update, the regulation is likely to change.
- Single target quest only
- Time limit 25 minutes only
- Please write field in Notes when you submit your runs.
- maximum levels in the latest game version(lv300 in ver16.0)
- Submission for ver16.0 Anomaly Investigation will be opened on 2023/06/08 13:00 (JST)
- Using of Endemic Life, field gimmicks, and Wyvern Riding are based on Master rank quests.
Also, using Slicercrub, Spearsquid and Poison Cypress is permitted.
- Top 3 runners will be accepted
Special Investigation (2023/05/11 updated)
This is a category for Special Investigation quest in TAwiki.
Regulation of Special Investigation in TAwiki is based on that of Anomaly Investigation (Single target only, 25minutes only and so on).
- Submission for Special Investigation will be opened on 2023/05/13 13:00 (JST)
